Our Story

As the only copper smelter and refinery in the Philippines and the first in Southeast Asia, we aim to produce and export high quality copper and precious metal by-products around the globe.

PASAR is first established by the national government and is now a privately-held company under Glencore International.

Because or company is strategically located in the Pearl of the Orient, specifically, in the  progressive and friendly town of Isabel, Leyte, we are able to export our products within the country and into 18 countries across the globe.

Through our innovative process of converting copper concentrates into 99.9999% pure copper cathode and other precious metal by-products, we ensure you that our products meet the regulatory requirements and industry standards.

However, we cannot achieve these milestones without the help of our 1,400 strong workforce. Our people are the key ingredients in this success and without them, PASAR won't be operating 24/7 to give high-quality products across the world. Because of these, we always prioritize their safety and health, provide them the necessary equipments and trainings, and motivate them by providing them different career opportunities to develop their skills and abilities. We also do value the environment and communities across our plant as it is the home of our people.
